IBS affects 15-20% of the population with symptoms including cramping, abdominal pain, bloating, gas, and diarrhoea and constipation (or both). While IBS is not dangerous, symptoms can be severe and unpredictable and can drastically affect the quality of life for many people.
Conventional management approaches for managing symptoms focus on either diet (e.g. low FODMAP) and/or medication which can be stressful and overwhelming, and can also come with numerous side effects. But there is another way. With close to 40 years of clinical research behind it, gut-directed hypnotherapy has been shown to reduce symptoms in 70% of people and can achieve the same reduction in symptoms as the low FODMAP diet. This means that your clients can get back to living their life to the full again without stressful and complicated diets or relying on medication.
In this 8-hour online workshop held across 2 x 4-hour sessions Jayne will teach you how to effectively use gut-directed hypnotherapy and CBT in your practice for clients who are struggling with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome).
